Obituary

William Mark Misaras passed away on February 7, 2021 at the age of 62 in Three Rivers, Michigan where he was currently residing. Even though his passing took him from this world too early, his passion and caring nature will carry on in friends and family.

Born to George and Helen (Lazarovici) Misaras, Jr. on April 22, 1958, he grew up in Berkley, Michigan where he graduated from high school and then enlisted in the U.S. Army. Stationed in Ft. Belvoir, Virginia as a Patient Care Specialist at the 15 th Combat Support Hospital. After his discharge from the service, he enrolled at Mercy College in Detroit and continued his studies to earn a Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration.

Seeing the specialized care that his father and grandfather need in later years influenced his career in a way that became his lifelong passion. William went on to work in several senior care facilities as a nursing home administrator. He was a powerful advocate for his resident's rights, believing that a building should not only care for one's needs, but continue to allow a person to live with dignity and fulfillment in their lives. William's love for his family was endless as well. He was checking in whenever he could, even if it was just to share something that made him think of them.

He is survived by his son, Benjamin Misaras and significant other, Christopher Genther; step-daughter, Ashley Baney-Minnich and son in law, Karl; their mother, Sandra Misaras; three beautiful grandchildren, Gabe, Cyan, and Hazel; his brother, George Taylor and sister-in-law, Dawn; his girlfriend, Becky Gamble; and his two cat side-kicks, Robin and Hawke. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Helen Misaras.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation was conducted. A memorial service will be held in the Summer. A Go Fund Me page has been established as a memorial at the Detroit Zoo at https://gofund.me/66e0f2d8 . Assistance was provided by the Eickhoff Funeral Home of Mendon.
