Thomas John Voorde, age 52 of Burr Oak, died Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at Ascension Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo.  He was born in South Bend, Indiana on November 6, 1968 the son of James A Voorde, Sr. and Donna M. (Sawyer) Voorde.  The family later moved to Mendon where Tom graduated from Mendon High School with the class of 1987.  For the past several years he was employed by Sanderson Insulation of Mendon.  He was devoted to his family and small circle of friends and was always willing to help when needed.

Tom is survived by a daughter, Meagan (Robert) Bailey of Goshen, Indiana; his mother, Donna Mapes of Mendon; two brothers, James A. Voorde, Jr. of White Pigeon and Michael (Taya) Voorde of Mendon; six nieces and nephews, Josh, Tim, AJ, Carrie, Destini, and Erica Voorde.  He was preceded in death by his father.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation has been conducted.  Visitation will be from 1 pm to 3 pm on Saturday, Sep. 4, 2021 at the Eickhoff Funeral Home in Mendon.
