Teressa Lynn Emmel, age 59 of Mendon, died unexpectedly at her home on Wednesday, July 19, 2023. She was born in Sturgis, Michigan on March 23, 1964 the daughter of the late George and Sharon (Frisbie) Emmel and was a lifetime resident of St. Joseph County.  She graduated from Colon High School and later attended Glen Oaks Community College. Teressa was a homemaker who also worked at Dawn & Phil's Café, X-L Machine, Theresa's Hair Salon, Bones Garage, and the Mendon Marathon. She enjoyed "thrifting", sewing and crafts, and watching her grandchildren.

Teressa was married to David Yeomans on March 23, 2019. He survives along with her two children, Emily (Paul) Gentz of Leonidas and Max (Anna) Miller of Sturgis; special niece, Sharon Emmel-Davis; seven grandchildren, Ellinor, Liberty, Georgiana, Emilia, Louisa, Ira, and Olivia; and by special friend, Jan Broker.
