Ruth Ellen (Moote) Green, age 62 of Centreville died Wednesday June 19, 2013 at Fairview Living and Rehabilitation Community. She was born in Kalamazoo, MI on April 14, 1951 the daughter of DeWayne and Alice (Veldt) Moote and was a lifetime resident of southwest Michigan. She graduated from Kalamazoo Central High School in 1969 and attended Kalamazoo Valley Community College. Ruth had been employed at Shakespeare in Kalamazoo, Eaton Manufacturing in Three Rivers, and at T-H Plastics in Mendon. She is a former member of Bethel Baptist Church in Kalamazoo. She loved animals, especially her cats and birds. She also enjoyed crocheting and travel.

Ruth is survived by her mother, Alice (Donald) Norris of Athens; 3 sisters, Nancy (Douglas) Merriman of Kalamazoo, Patricia (Tyrone) Jones of San Pedro, CA, and Linda Renauld of Kalamazoo; 2 brothers, Stephen (Allene) Moote of McHenry, IL, and David Moote of Bensonville, IL; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, DeWayne Moote; and by 2 infant sons.

Cremation has been conducted. A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday June 28, 2013 at Factoryville Bible Church, 1291 Factoryville, Road, Athens, MI 49011 with Pastor Fred Goebert officiating. A private interment of ashes will take place later. Memorials may be directed to either the Juvenile Diabetes Association for Research, or to the Factoryville Bible Church Camp Program.
