Obituary

Rosemary Maureen Hutchinson died Monday February 8, 2016 at the Community Health Center of Branch County in Coldwater, Michigan. She was born on December 10, 1979 to John and Maureen (Haas) Hutchinson in Coldwater. She encountered many challenges throughout her life as the result of Rett Syndrome. Rosemary communicated to those who loved her with her eyes, body language, and quiet courage. She attended ADAPT and the Waldron Center in her younger years.

Rosemary is survived by her parents, John and Maureen Hutchinson of Coldwater; her older sister, Kira Hutchinson (Kevin Beale) of Louisville, KY; her older brother, John Hutchinson (Sabina) of Cincinnati, OH; her nieces and nephew, Leda and Iris Beale, and Sarah and John Arthur Hutchinson; her grandmothers, Marguerite Hutchinson Monroe of South Bend and Shirley Haas of Mendon; She is also survived by aunts and uncles, Pam Hutchinson Gray and Loren Gray of Phoenix, Bob and Nancy Hutchinson of Asheville, NC, Scott Hutchinson of Houston, and Colleen (Haas) Kelly of Evanston, IL; and by cousins, Peter (Helen) Kelly, Eli Kelly, Eamon (Lakshmi) Kelly, and Liam (Jackie) Kelly all of Evanston.

As close as any family, Rosemary is also survived by the wonderful people who cared for her for many years with such tenderness and love at the ADAPT Rosewood Home in Coldwater, and by her lifelong friend, Beth Diesel McKinley.

A Thursday Feb. 11th visitation will be from 4 to 6 PM at the Eickhoff Funeral Home in Mendon. A Friday Feb. 12th visitation will be held at the Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater from 3 to 6 PM. The funeral mass for Rosemary Hutchinson will be 11 AM Saturday Feb. 13, 2016 at St. Edward Catholic Church in Mendon followed by burial in St. Edward Cemetery. It is suggested that memorials be directed to either ADAPT, Inc. of Coldwater, or to St. Edward Catholic Church in Mendon.
