Rose Marie Starks, age 90 of Three Rivers, died Sunday, Jan. 17, 2021 at her home. She was born in Birmingham, MI on Aug. 15, 1930 the daughter of Forrest and Nola (Marsh) Howe. She graduated from Lake Orion High School. She was married to Alvin A. Starks and they resided in Mendon before settling in Three Rivers. Rose worked at a grocery store in Mendon and later for Reish's Shoe Store, Corey Lake Orchard, and Rite-Aid in Three Rivers. She looked forward to travels with the Horizons Travel Club, bowling in area leagues, and get togethers with her card-playing friends.

Rose is survived by her husband, Alvin "Buck" Starks; two children, Rick (Terry) Starks of Three Rivers and Kathy Starks-Smith of Dallas, GA; five grandchildren, Troy (Jackie) Starks, Jessica Starks, Don (Linda) Felcik, Denise Felcik, and Zachary (Sarah) Smith; nine great-grandchildren, Olivia, Adam, Luke, Leah, Nicholas, Alisha, Kalea, Kelsey, and Holly; one great-great-grandchild, Neveah; a brother Richard (Betty) Howe; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; four siblings, Virgil, Verl, Bobbie, and Patricia; and a daughter, Terry Jean Mason.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation will be conducted. A family memorial service will be held 1 pm Thursday, Jan. 21, 2021 at Bethany Chapel in Three Rivers with Pastor Tim Moore officiating. Interment of cremains will take place later in Mendon Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to a charity of one's choice.
