Roger Lee "RLEE" Weeks, age 69 of Mendon died Friday June 15, 2012 at Sturgis Hospital. He was born in Athens, MI on Dec. 15, 1942 the son of Royal and Esther (Chapman) Weeks. He graduated from Athens High School and formerly attended the Union City Methodist Church. He was a huge country western music fan. Roger travelled the country as a country singer, owned a restaurant in Hollyrood, Kansas, and operated his own recycling business.

Roger is survived by his companion, Marjorie Williams of Mendon; 3 children, Mary Roe of Fulton, Anna Frailing of Portage, and John Weeks of Hayes, Kansas; a brother, Richard Weeks of Grand Rapids; a sister, Karen Rathmann of Battle Creek; step-children Debbie Popplewriter, Debra Doleck, and Donna Barta all of Kansas; Marjorie's children, Dale Weeks and Dianna Wykenham; and by several grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Floyd Ballenger.

Cremation has been conducted. A graveside memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday June 20, 2012 in South Fulton Cemetery with Pastor Curtis Bennett of the Leonidas Bible Church officiating.
