Perry Leon Kidder, 88 of Three Rivers, MI passed away Thursday, July 24, 2019 in Marshall, MI after a long illness. Perry was born on September 8, 1930 to Perry L. and Mary E. (Winchcomb) Kidder in Quincy, MI. Perry served in the US Navy on the USS Powers from 1947 to 1950, having seen much of Europe as a young man. After returning back to Albion, he met and married the love of his life, Constance Joan Topp on Nov. 28, 1953 in Albion, MI. They later moved to Three Rivers where Perry worked for American Axle, and she worked as a Nurse's Aide.
Constance Joan (Topp) Kidder was born on Feb. 2, 1933 in Coldwater, MI and was the daughter of Alvis and Estella (Nevil) Topp. She died on Jan. 21, 2018. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Robert, Raymond, Vincent, Herman, and Anthony; by sisters Mary Agnus, Rosella Delorse, Clara Jean, Loretta and Janet.
Perry was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; twin brothers Donald (Patricia) Kidder and Dale (Leona) Kidder; brothers Roy (Florence Kidder, Corlin Kidder, Wayne Kidder; sisters Lulu (Ray) Korn, Erma (Martin) Ball, Edna (Larry) Tawny, and Anabelle (Bert) Saylor.
Surviving are their three sons, Philip (Grace) Kidder, Bruce (Anne) Kidder, and Shawn (Loretta) Kidder; grandchildren, Melissa (Nick), Sara (Peter), Sarah (Michael), Elizabeth (Nate), Quenton (Emily), Katie (Brad), Chelsea and Drayton; great-granddaughters, Isabelle, Kaitlyn, Evelyn and Emma Rose. Also, surviving are Perry's sister Mildred Clark and sister-in-law Judy Kidder.
An interment for both Perry Leon and Constance Joan Kidder will take place Friday, Sep. 20, 2019 at 2 pm in Ft. Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, MI. Arrangements were by the Eickhoff Funeral Home of Mendon. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.eickhofffuneralhome.com
