Pearlie Dewitt Vanatti, age 89 of Three Rivers died Sunday, Aug. 6, 2017 at his granddaughter's home near Vicksburg. He was born in Kalamazoo on Nov. 13, 1927 the son of Isaac and Etta (Fifer) Vanatti. He was a graduate of Mattawan High School. He was married to Charlene Anspaugh, and they were later divorced. Pearlie worked for the Kalamazoo County Road Commission as a heavy equipment operator. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a handyman and woodworker, and made many items for family and friends.

Pearlie is survived by three daughters, Kathy Vanatti of Florida, Diane Bacon of Vicksburg, and Tammy Vanatti of Three Rivers; seven grandchildren; twenty- two great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Aaron James Vanatti; two sisters, Etta Blanche Moore and Della Blanchard; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Laura; and a brother Buck.
