Pauline M. Hart, age 97 of Sturgis, died Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at Thurston Woods where she has resided the past five years.  She was born in Colon, Michigan on December 5, 1925 the daughter of Leo and Bernice (Lighthiser) Iobe.  She was a graduate of Colon High School, worked as a secretary for a local credit union, and attended St. Paul Lutheran Church in Colon. She was married to Russell E. Hart on September 4, 1948 in St Paul Lutheran Church in Colon. She was the primary caregiver for her daughter born with cerebral palsy for many years. She enjoyed arts and crafts, and flower gardening.

Pauline was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Leland Iobe; husband, Russell Hart; daughter, Brenda Hart; and grandson, Russell Smith.  She is survived by a sister, Nadine Finney of Palm Bay, Florida; two daughters, Susan Buffington of Mendon and Patricia (Stephen) Clancey of Florida; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Cremation has been conducted. A graveside interment will be held at 1 pm on Saturday April 29, 2023 in Lakeside Cemetery in Colon, with Rev. Kurt Kuhlmann, Pastor of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Colon and St. John Lutheran Church in Burr Oak officiating. Memories and condolences may be shared at www.eickhofffuneralhome.com
