Norma Lou Grubka, age 79 of Mendon died Tuesday May 6, 2014 at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo. She was born in Fulton, MI on May 15, 1934 the daughter of Carl and Ellen (Hetlevedt) Olson and was a lifetime resident of the area except for time spent in the U.S. Navy. Norma was a Licensed Practical Nurse who worked at several area medical offices and nursing homes. She enjoyed yard-work, knitting and sewing, painting, and playing the organ.

Norma is survived by her son and daughter in law, Jon and Hope Grubka of Kalamazoo. She was preceded in death by her husband Harry Grubka in 2010; and by several siblings.

Cremation has been conducted. A memorial interment and military honors will be held at Ft. Custer National Cemetery on Thursday May 15, 2014 at 10:00 am. Condolences may be left for the family at www.eickhofffuneralhome.com
