Nancy May Stark, age 68 of Mendon, passed away on Sep. 16, 2019 at her home. She was born the fourth child of Jack and Ruby (Rosbaugh) Stark. She graduated from Colon High School in 1970, and married her first husband, Gerald Urick in 1971. They had two daughters, Christine (Dwight) Millar and Tracee (Brian) Kirt. In 1999 she adopted a son, Taylor Lee.
Nancy's cooking skills not only kept her employed, but also allowed her to support her community by holding dinners to help veterans. She was a proud member of the Colon American Legion Post #454 Auxiliary, where she held the honor of Auxiliary President. She enjoyed attending Special Olympics and Pathfinders events in support of her son. She also enjoyed gardening and tending to her flowerbeds.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Earl Stark and Phillip Stark; and a brother in law, Harold Freeland. Surviving are her three children; two sisters, Susan Freeland and Roberta (David) Lamb; one brother, John (Linda) Stark; a grandson and three granddaughters; and by several nieces and nephews.
In keeping with her wishes, cremation has been conducted and no services are planned.
