Obituary

Nancy Lavon Rank, age 69 of Nottawa passed away on February 11, 2023 at Ascension Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo, MI.  She was born on July 17, 1953 in Sturgis, MI the daughter of Clarence and Edith (Bupp) Overholt.  She graduated from Sturgis High School in 1972.  On September 21, 1974 she married David W. Rank in the Burr Oak Missionary Church.  While in Burr Oak, she sponsored a youth group at the church.  Nancy has been a lifetime resident of the St. Joseph County area.  She was a member of the Crossroads Missionary Church in Mendon, where she was a Sunday School teacher.  She was a clerk at the Sturgis Hospital, where she worked for over 35 years.  In Nancy's free time, she enjoyed scrap booking, reading, and camping.

Nancy is survived by her husband of 48 years, David. Two children; Randal (Sidney) Rank of Three Rivers, MI and Timothy (Stacey) Rank of Zeeland, MI.  Three grandchildren; Lillian, Kaylee, and Austin.  Step mother Blanche Overholt and step sister Victoria Overholt.  She was preceded in death by her parents, and an infant brother Jerry Overholt.

Visitation will be held at Crossroads Missionary Church on Thursday, February 16, 2023 from 10 am until Noon.  A funeral service will start at 12 Noon with Pastor Alex Brovont, Rev. Steve Runyon, and Rev. Gary Graham officiating.  Burial will follow the service in Nottawa Cemetery.  It is suggested that memorials and donations be made to The Kidney Foundation or Gift of Life.  Memories and condolences may be expressed to the family at eickhofffuneralhome.com.
