Nancy Lee Gage of Mendon died peacefully at her home at the age of 75. She was born in Chicago, IL on March 9, 1946 the daughter of the late Michael and Pauline (Renghi) Mathews. Nancy graduated from Mendon High School with the class of 1964 and later graduated from Western Michigan University. She taught school at the Pathfinder Center and was a special education teacher at Sturgis Middle School for 31 years. Nancy enjoyed photography, painting, learning to play the guitar, traveling, playing cards and board games, visiting Michigan lighthouses and capturing the beauty of God's canvas.

Nancy loved having sleepovers with her grandkids, which included dance-offs, singing, making up new songs, watching movies, popcorn, snuggles, and tons of laughter. She enjoyed eating out with her best friends of 30-plus years, Christmas mornings with her family, shopping, helping others, and rooting for her grandchildren!

Nancy was loved by many and will be missed each and every day. She leaves behind a son, Thad Gage of Three Rivers; a daughter, Stacey (Todd) Ames of Colon; five grandchildren, Kerrigan Gage, Beryl Gage, Zacheriah Vanderhoof, Jade Vanderhoof, and Fisher Ames; two sisters, Shirley Leudecking and Bonnie (Wendel) Moyer; several nieces and nephews; and many friends and loved ones.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation has been conducted. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, May 19th, 6-8pm followed by an 8pm rosary. A funeral mass will be 11am Thursday, May 20, 2021 at St Edward Catholic Church followed by interment at St Edward Cemetery.  Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at www.eickhofffuneralhome.com
