Mildred L. Wood, age 75 of rural Centreville, died Friday, December 9, 2022 at Ascension Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo.  She was born in Mark Tree, Arkansas on October 26, 1947 one of sixteen children born to Vester and Dollie (Ferguson) Baney. She was married to Sharley Foster Wood in Arkansas on July 27, 1963 and they have resided in Michigan the past 55 years.  Mildred was a homemaker and certified nurse's assistant, working at several area nursing homes. She especially enjoyed fishing in her spare time.

Mildred is survived by her husband, Sharley; four children, Tracy Wood, Willie (Mary) Wood, Jessica Wood, and Robert (Dawn) Wood; eighteen grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; a sister, Pauline Roberts; and a brother, Charles Baney.  She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Elizabeth Brackett; two grandchildren; and thirteen brothers and sisters.
