Merriea “Jane” Lubben, a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, faithful Christian, and friend to all, entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior on June 25, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on August 20, 1962, to Roy and Patricia Tyler, Jane was raised in the countryside alongside her six siblings. The values of faith, family, and kindness that shaped her early years remained the foundation of her life.

Jane was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Patricia Tyler, and her siblings, Dennis Tyler and Melanie Keckler. She is survived by her beloved husband of more than 40 years, Charles “Lou” Lubben; her sisters Ellen McKay, Sandra Greenman, Marcia Tyler, and Robin Balesh; her seven children, Anthony Lubben, James Lubben, William Lubben, Justin Lubben, Brooke and Chad Peckham, Jasmine and Anthony Rondy, and Kristen and Matthew Reed; and her six grandchildren, Jeremiah Lubben, Kaylee Lubben, Everleigh Peckham, Mikey Peckham, Myra Rondy, and Ruth Rondy.

Jane’s life was marked by extraordinary kindness. She welcomed everyone she met and never hesitated to help those in need. Friends and family alike remember her warm spirit and her ability to make others feel loved and accepted. Above all, Jane loved the Lord. Her faith was the foundation of her life and sustained her through every hardship. Despite challenges and difficulties, she remained steadfast in her trust in God, facing each day with courage, determination, and prayer. Her children were the joy of her life. They treasure memories of her creativity and love, from magic tricks and special family traditions like the “Oogley Boogley Restaurant” to summers spent at the family property in Cedar Springs, where she taught them to appreciate God’s creation.

The greatest gift Jane gave her family was her faith. Through prayers, Bible stories, songs, and her daily example, she taught her children to trust God in every circumstance. In her final days, her family gathered around her bedside, sharing stories, singing hymns, and praying together. Though they grieve her absence, they find comfort in the faith she lived and the promise of eternal life. Jane’s legacy lives on through the family she nurtured, the lives she touched, and the faith she faithfully passed on to future generations.

Funeral services for Jane will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2026 at 12pm at the Eickhoff Funeral Home (311 W Main St., Mendon, MI 49072). Following the service at the funeral home, a graveside service will take place at Dutton Cemetery (corner of Flach Road and Fuller Road in Mendon, MI) at 2pm.
