Melinda Sue (Lough) Jacobs, age 65 of Battle Creek, MI passed away at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo, MI on March 6, 2023.  She was born in Kalamazoo, MI on January 3, 1958 the daughter of Herbert and Rosemary (Poling) Lough.  Melinda was a graduate of Vicksburg High School in 1976.  She enjoyed spending time up in Baldwin, MI at "the cabin".  Melinda enjoyed spending time with her family, especially the grandchildren.  She liked to play cards and board games, especially Yahtzee.

Melinda is survived by her two sons; Jeff (Skye) Jacobs of GA and Jessey Jacobs of Battle Creek, MI.  Four grandchildren; Kelsey Jacobs, Hannah Jacobs, Christopher Jacobs, and Jessey (Skoochy) Jacobs.  Two siblings; Brenda (Leonard) Lux of Marcellus, MI and Greg (Stephanie) Lough of Battle Creek, MI.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Carlo Noel.

Funeral services will be held for Melinda on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at 11 a.m. at the Eickhoff Funeral Home in Mendon, MI.  Following the service, a private family interment will take place in Leonidas Cemetery.  While interment is taking place, the family asks those in attendance to gather at The Wakeman House (located across the street from the funeral home) for a Celebration of Life, where lunch will be provided.  It is suggested that donations or memorials in Melinda's name be made to the American Cancer Society.  Memories and condolences may be expressed to the family at eickhofffuneralhome.com
