Mary Ann Kennedy, age 95, passed away on March 15, 2025 at The Birches, AFC in Leonidas, MI. She was born on June 16, 1929 in Detroit, MI the daughter of Rae and Rozella Mae (High) York. She attended East Commerce High School in Detroit, MI and was part of the 1946 graduating class. Following high school, Mary would attend Alma College and Glen Oaks Community College. On November 25, 1948 she would marry Mac Kennedy at St. Peters Lutheran Church in Three Rivers, MI. Mary was involved in many church groups, was a hospice volunteer, and helped many children in need. She was also employed at the Haas Corporation, Glen Oaks Community College, and American Bank in Mendon, MI.
"Thank God for the opportunity to raise my children to adulthood and the pleasure and enjoyment of my grandchildren and great-grandchildren. To serve the Cambodian refugees and various church services. The trips I made for Him and the one to Isreal as these brought me closer to Him and much happiness. Also, I would ask my family not to sorrow as this is the best trip I've ever taken with God and dad waiting to welcome me." - Mary Ann Kennedy.
Mary is survived by her four children; Patricia (Joseph) Bingaman, Karen (Douglas) Wagner, Mac Jr. (Maxine) Kennedy, and Dan (Missy) Kennedy; nine grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren, and thirteen great-great-grandchildren; and extended families. She was preceded in passing by her parents; Rae and Rozella York; daughter; Sandra Kennedy; son; David Kennedy; and her husband; Mac Kennedy, Sr.
Mary's family will receive friends on Friday, March 21, 2025 at St. Peters Lutheran Church (1200 Arnold St, Three Rivers, MI 49093) from 10am until 12pm with funeral services beginning at 12pm with Pastor Ronald Moritz officiating. Following the luncheon, burial will take place in Mendon Cemetery. Condolences and memories may be expressed to her family at eickhofffuneralhome.com
