Mark R. Russell, age 60 of Mendon died Sunday, Jan. 21, 2018 from injuries received in a motor vehicle accident. He was born in Kalamazoo on Feb. 9, 1957 the son of Ivan G. and Helen K. (Reed) Russell. He graduated from Portage Central High School in 1975 and later attended Kalamazoo Valley Community College. Mark has been employed as a motor repairman at Midwest Electric Motors for the past 40 years. He was married to Kathryn M. Fenech on Oct. 13, 1990 and they have live in Mendon the past 26 years. Mark was a 4-H Leader and volunteer with the Boy Scouts of America. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and canoeing. He was a woodworker, and always involved in house remodeling projects.

Mark is survived by his wife, Kathryn; two children, Shane Russell and Skye Russell; four siblings, Louise Russell, Patricia Remmo, John (Jeanne) Russell, and Barbara (Richard) Murphy; sister in law, Bonnie Russell; nieces and nephews, in-laws, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Stanley Russell.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation has been conducted. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 pm Saturday, Jan. 27, 2018 at the Eickhoff Funeral Home in Mendon, and where services will begin at 3 pm Saturday. Memorials will be directed to the family
