Louise Irene DeWitt, age 75 of Colon, died Monday, June 4, 2018 at Sturgis Hospital. She was born in Kalamazoo on June 28, 1942 the daughter of James A. and Estella (Klump) Shultz. Louise was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing, card playing and socializing at the M & M Grill in Colon. She attended the Christian Fellowship Center in Sturgis.

Louise is survived by four sons and their spouses, Jeffrey (Elizabeth) DeWitt of Nottawa, Keith (Heather) DeWitt of Three Rivers, Darren (Darla) DeWitt of Colon, and James (Tonya) DeWitt of Sturgis; sixteen grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, James Shultz; and two sisters, Delores Lohrberg and Terry Lynn Green.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation has been conducted. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at 11:00 AM in Lakeside Cemetery near Colon.  A luncheon will follow at the Christian Fellowship Center, 201 North Street, Sturgis, MI 49091. Memorial donations may be directed to the family.
