Lee Roy Taylor, age 81 of Three Rivers died Wednesday Oct. 12, 2016 at his home. He was born in Stone, Kentucky on June 1, 1935 the son of the late Moscoe W. and Ethel (Blackburn) Taylor. He was raised in Defiance, Ohio and later moved to Hillsdale, Michigan where he met and married Cindy Kay Headley on May 23, 1992. They have resided in Three Rivers since 2012. Lee was an independent truck driver, travelling the continental United States. He enjoyed fishing and reading, especially Western novels.

Lee is survived by his wife, Cindy; six children, Lee (Cathy) Taylor, Jr. and William "Ed" (Vicki) Taylor both of Hicksville, OH, Karen (Buryl) Clifford of Antwerp, OH, Richard Taylor and David Taylor both of New Bavaria, OH, and Heather (Ken) Coombs of Midland, MI; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren on the way; and a sister, Mary Keel of Defiance, OH. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Margaret Grube.

The family will receive friends from 11 am to noon Friday Oct. 14, 2016 at the Eickhoff Funeral Home in Mendon. Funeral services will begin at noon Friday at the funeral home with Rev. Eric Burkhardt, Associate Pastor of Life Changing Realities Church of Edgerton, Ohio officiating. Cremation will follow services. Memorials will be directed to the family.
