June Madona McCormick, age 91 of Mendon died Wednesday evening Dec. 12, 2012 at Tendercare Portage. She was born in Mellott, IN on June 4, 1921 the daughter of Charles and Marguerite (Minick) Royal. She was a graduate of Mellott High School and attended Lafayette Business College. June was married to O. Mertz McCormick on July 16, 1950 in Lafayette, IN. June was a secretary and homemaker. She was a member of Beta Sigma Fi International of Three Rivers and enjoyed needlepoint and cross-stitching.

June is survived by a daughter, Shirley Holtzclaw of Freedom, IN; a son, Fred (Sandy) McCormick of Mendon, MI; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; and by her husband, O. Mertz McCormick on Feb. 19, 2000.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday Dec. 21st at the Eickhoff Funeral Home in Mendon. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. on Saturday Dec. 22, 2012 at the funeral home with Pastor Barry Edds of the White Pigeon Church of Christ officiating. Burial will be in Mendon Cemetery.
