Joseph J. Franks, age 50, died on Sunday, July 14, 2019 at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo. He was born in Vicksburg, MI on June 23, 1969 the son of Delbert and Wanda (Belt) Franks and has been a lifetime resident of Southwest Michigan. He attended Colon Schools, later received his G.E.D., and worked at several local manufacturing companies. Joseph was a University of Michigan football fan and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and mushrooming.

Joseph is survived by a daughter, Bridget (Dustin) Stafford of Three Rivers; three grandchildren, Tristan, Alexah, and Zaidyn; his wife, Karen Wyatt of Kalamazoo; his parents, Delbert and Wanda Franks of Leonidas; sister, Joyce (Richard) Sylvester; brothers, Mike (Erica) Franks and Larry (Laura) Franks all of Mendon; maternal grandmother, Eleanor Whittaker of Lincoln, CA; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at the Eickhoff Funeral Home in Mendon. Cremation will then take place and a private service and interment will be later. Memorial donations will be directed to the family. Arrangements were by the Eickhoff Funeral Home of Mendon.
