John Frank "Jack" Pecoraro, age 89 of Three Rivers died Sunday July 5, 2015 at Riverview Manor in Three Rivers. He was born in Benton Harbor, MI on Dec. 30, 1925 the son of Samuel and Mary (Tescal) Pecoraro. After graduation from Benton Harbor High School, Jack joined the U.S. Navy and served in the Pacific Theater. After WWII, Jack worked for the Whirlpool Corporation as a purchasing agent for 32 years. After retirement he resided briefly in Watervliet before moving to Klines Resort 22 years ago.

Jack enjoyed fishing on Lake Michigan and at Portage Lake. He was both a bow and gun hunter, and looked forward to deer and turkey seasons. In his later years he took up woodcarving, and has made numerous heirlooms for his family.

Jack was married to Nancy E. Wright on Oct. 27, 1962 in Benton Harbor. She survives along with five children, Jack Pecoraro, Jr. (Ella) of Berrien Springs, Claudia Stephens and Ken Martin both of Tampa, Florida, David Pecoraro (Theresa) of Riverside, MI, and Teresa Blanchard (Jeff) of Vicksburg; eleven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Joann Marsala of Benton Harbor. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a daughter, Linda Tay.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation has been conducted. A military interment of his ashes will be 10:30 am Monday July 20, 2015 at Ft. Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, Michigan. Family and friends are encouraged to join and celebrate Jack's memory at the Community Center at Kline's Resort at 12:30 pm on Monday July 20, 2015.
