Joan Eva Conrad, age 61 of Mendon died Monday, Sep. 2, 2019 at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo. She was born in LaGrange, IN on March 20, 1958 the daughter of Albert and Ellen (Church) Hill. She attended LaGrange Schools and later graduated from the Sturgis Adult Education program. Joan worked for Eaton Corp. near Galesburg until their shut-down. She later worked at T-H Plastics in Mendon. Most recently she worked as a stay-at-home-Grandma. Joan enjoyed her riding horses, reading, and cross-stitch. And most of all, she loved family time.

Joan was married to Lance A. Conrad on May 23, 1981 in Mendon. He survives along with a daughter, Shannon (Russell Beyman) Conrad of Holland; a granddaughter, Olivia Eve Beyman; three honorary grandsons, EJ, Alex, and Jonathan; two sisters, Becky Smith and Deb (Dan) Gould; a brother, Charley (Roberta) Hill; and five nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Jarad and Jeremy Conrad; and a brother, Daniel Hill.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation will be conducted. A private memorial service will be held later. It is suggested that memorial donations be directed to the Hospitality House at Bronson Hospital, 828 S. Burdick, Kalamazoo, MI 49001. Assistance was provided by the Eickhoff Funeral Home of Mendon.
