Jerry Jay Spealman, age 58 of Scotts died Thursday July 21, 2016 at his home. He was born in Vicksburg, MI on January 14, 1958, the son of Max and Sheila (Moored) Spealman. Jerry joined the Navy in 1976, where he served our country for three years. After those three years he went back to school and graduated high school from Galesburg in 1979. Jerry was an outdoorsman, worked construction, trimming trees, and helping people when needed. He loved to fish with his family and friends, which he did often.
Jerry is survived by his parents, Max and Sheila Spealman of Scotts, MI; two sisters, Janice (Glen) Glenn of Kalamazoo, MI, Judy (Andrew) Radtke of Traverse City, MI; 5 nieces and nephews; and 10 great nieces and nephews.
In keeping with the family's wishes, cremation has been conducted. A memorial service for Jerry will be held at Crossroads Missionary Church, 22605 M 60, Mendon, MI 49072, on Monday July 25, 2016 at 11a.m. The family has asked in lieu of flowers, donations may be directed towards Jerry's Nieces and Nephews Educational Fund.
