Jeffrey Alan Saylor, age 45 of Leonidas, died Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at Ascension Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo following a long illness.  He was born in Sturgis, MI on Aug. 27, 1976 the son of Lloyd Saylor and Dawn DeHoff, and was a lifetime resident of St. Joseph County.  Jeff graduated from Colon High School and took technical courses in automotive repair, and later worked at several area garages.  He enjoyed being outdoors, cooking, music, and working from his garage.  He had a special interest in remote control cars, and the existence of Big-Foot.

Jeff is survived by a son, Marshall (Madison Schroll) Saylor of Leonidas; a daughter, Madysyn Saylor of Minnesota; his father, Lloyd Saylor of Florida; mother, Dawn DeHoff of Colon; grandmother, Ollie Mae Caldwell of Bledsoe, KY; and by his companion of the past four years, LaChelle Maturen of Athens.  He was preceded in death by a son, Jacob Scott Saylor in 2019.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation has been conducted.  A visitation and open house will be held from noon to 3 pm on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at the Eickhoff Funeral Home in Mendon.  Memorial contributions will be directed to the family.  Memories and condolences may be shared at www.eickhofffuneralhome.com
