Jean Marie Klein, age 52 of rural Mendon died Monday, May 17, 2021 at her home. She was born in Battle Creek, Michigan on Dec. 14, 1968 the youngest of fourteen children born to Vincent E. and Henrietta C. (Pluester) Klein. Born with special needs, God carefully chose a wonderful, loving family to raise her. She attended the Pathfinder Educational Center in Centreville and was a member of St. Edward Catholic Church in Mendon. Her life was lived on the family farm, first in the care of her parents, and then later by her sister, Mary. Such an integral part of the family, she will be greatly missed.

Jean Marie is survived by eleven siblings, Mary Klein of Mendon, Tom (Margie) Klein of Colon, Mark (Paula) Klein of Mendon, Jane (Barry) VanderVeen of Portage, Gary (Sandy) Klein of Mendon, Diane (David) Snyder of Navarre, FL, Bonnie (Byron) Moser of Vicksburg, Carol Mack of Athens, David Klein of Mendon, Anthony (Patty) Klein of Mendon, and Barbara (Wayne) Dale of Corona, CA; sister-in-law, Tangileen Klein of Mendon; forty-eight nieces and nephews; and many great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Roger Klein and Vincent B. Klein; brother-in- law, John Mack; and great-niece, Judy Klein.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 5:30 pm Friday, May 28, 2021 at the Eickhoff Funeral Home in Mendon. The Rosary will be recited at 6:00 pm Friday at St. Edward Catholic Church in Mendon. The funeral mass for Jean Marie Klein will be 12 noon on Saturday, May 29, 2021 at St. Edward Catholic Church with Msgr. Thomas A. Martin officiating.  Burial will be in St. Edward Catholic Cemetery. It is suggested that memorial donations be directed to either the Mendon Food Cupboard, or to St. Edward Catholic Church.
