Janice Lorraine Lewis, 81, of Mendon, MI, passed away on September 10, 2026, at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo, MI. Born on March 15, 1945, to Clark and Ethel (Blowers) Lewis, Janice was a proud member of the Athens High School Class of 1963.

For nearly four decades, Janice cherished her home on the banks of the St. Joe River, where she found solace in nature’s tranquility. An avid gardener, she nurtured her beloved mini cucumbers, tomatoes, zucchini, and marigolds each year. Her passion extended to a love for games like Yahtzee and Solitaire, a fondness for John Wayne films, and a taste for 50's country music. Monthly lunches with her sisters and sisters-in-law were moments she treasured, sharing meals and memories that she held dear.

Janice is survived by her sons, Dan (Susie) Linnan and Patrick Linnan; three grandchildren, Kelsey Prough, Kyle Prough, and Kalib Prough; and two great-grandchildren, Ronnie Case and Deacon Prough. She also leaves behind her sisters, Margarett Rumsey and Lenna Posey; sisters-in-law, Chris Lewis and Vivian Lewis; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings Leslie, Norman, Roger Lewis, and Patricia (Richard) Swank, and her spouse of 30 years, James Foster.
