Frederick Allen Boodt, age 82 of Constantine, passed away on January 10, 2025 at Elkhart General Hospital following a three year illness. He was born in Parchment, MI on October 23, 1942 the son of Cornelius and Carrie (Wells) Boodt. Frederick loved being outdoors, making many hunting trips up north and was often found roaming the woods mushroom hunting. He enjoyed cheering on his Detroit Lions, Michigan Wolverines, and Jeff Gordon. One of his pride and joys was a 1973 Mach 1 Mustang that he had restored, which is still in the family to this day. Frederick would often kick back and relax to an old western, Blondie, The Lone Ranger, or his favorite movie The Wizard of Oz. Everyone in his neighborhood new Frederick and would often yell out his name as he passed by. Most importantly, he loved his family and adored his grandchildren.
Frederick is survived by his wife of 31 years, Beth; children; Timmothy Boodt, Thomas Boodt, Tony Boodt, Jason Boodt, and Kim (Tim) Relue; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; siblings; Chuck (Marlene) Boodt, Barbara Headley, Patricia Palmer, Robert (Melanie) Boodt, David (Charlene) Boodt, Mary Ellen Tilford, and a half sister Deb; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Frederick was preceded in death by his parents Cornelius and Carrie Boodt; brother Cornelius, Jr, and his son Terry Boodt.
Visitation for Frederick will be held on Thursday, January 16, 2025 from 1pm until 3pm at the Mottville Bible Church (10455 US Highway 12, White Pigeon, MI 49099) with services beginning at 3pm with Pastor Mike Bender officiating. Following the service cremation will be conducted. In lieu of flowers, it is suggested that donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
