Dustin Carl Woods, age 37 of Mendon died unexpectedly at home on Thursday Dec. 8, 2016. He was born in Sturgis on Sep. 6, 1979 the son of William C. and Shirley (Alexander) Woods and was a lifetime resident of St. Joseph County. Dustin attended Centreville Schools, and was the primary in-home caregiver for his parents. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf, artistic drawing, and playing video games with his family.

Dustin is survived by his parents, William and Shirley Woods; two sons, Dillin C. Woods and Ravi Lennon Woods; brother, Luke (Debbie Platter) Alexander; sister Lindsey (Jeff Mohrhardt) Woods; eight nieces and nephews, Christopher, Katlynn, and Ashley Alexander, Eben Yoder, Piper Mohrhardt, Mackenzie and Madison Platter, and Gracelynn Morrison; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Dustin's wishes were to be a Gift of Life Donor to help heal others. Cremation will be conducted and memorial services will be held at a later date. Assistance was provided by the Eickhoff Funeral Home of Mendon. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.eickhofffuneralhome.com
