Doris W. Kingsbury, age 89 of Vicksburg, died Monday, March 19, 2018 at Wellspring Lutheran Nursing Home in Livonia. She was born in Detroit, MI on July 16, 1928 the daughter of Rupert and Bertha (Johnson) Learned and attended Detroit Schools. Doris was married to Robert L. Kingsbury on Dec. 31, 1949. They continued to reside in the Detroit area until 1990 when they retired to the Nazarene Campground near Vicksburg.

Doris is survived by four children, Richard (Laura) Kingsbury of Vicksburg, Ronald (Diane) Kingsbury of Plymouth, Robert (Stacie) Kingsbury of Livonia, and Patricia Kingsbury of West Bloomfield; ten grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Beatrice Thayer; granddaughter, Jessica Claire Kingsbury; and her husband, Bob on 2009.

Funeral services will be 11 am Thursday, March 22, 2018 at the Chapman Memorial Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Dave Downs officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will be in Vicksburg Cemetery. It is suggested that memorials be directed to the Chapman Memorial Church of the Nazarene, 7520 East U Avenue, Vicksburg, MI 49097. Arrangements were by the Eickhoff Funeral Home of Mendon.
