Donna Elaine Rafferty, age 76 of Kalamazoo, died Monday, July 1, 2019 at The Laurels of Galesburg. She was born in Kalamazoo on Dec. 1, 1942 the daughter of Kenneth H. and Elona Dee (Perryman) Sears. She graduated from Portage High School, and worked briefly there following graduation. For many years, Donna was the manager of the K-Mart store on South Westnedge in Portage. She was a member of the Liar's Club and the American Legion Auxiliary in Schoolcraft. Following retirement, Donna enjoyed winters in Florida, and summers at Kline's Resort near Mendon. She enjoyed Karaoke, Bingo, and trips to the area casinos.

Donna is survived by three children, Deb (Tony) Simmons of Portage, Linda Rafferty of Granbury, TX, and Mike (Sandy) Cobine of Mattawan; three step-children, Tami (Del) Van Bruggen of Kalamazoo, Tim (Amy) Rafferty of Tucson, AZ, and Ted (Leslie) Rafferty of Kalamazoo; 14 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jeff (Dawn) Sears of Holt, MI and Brad (Lisa) Sears of Tampa, FL; a sister, Susan Sollenberger of Ft. Myers, FL; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Terry Rafferty; brother, David Sears; and son in law, Ed Rafferty.
