Donald Kent Hanfland, age 63 of Mendon died Monday, December 12, 2022 at his home.  He was born in South Bend, Indiana on May 10, 1959 the son of John F. and Barbara L. (Greider) Hanfland. He graduated from Ferndale High School and later attended Oakland Community College. He has resided in Mendon since 1988.

Donald was employed as a computer programmer at Crocker Limited in Centreville, later known as Comoplast then Ex-OS.  He enjoyed computer games in his spare time, operating remote control cars and planes, and playing video games.

Donald was married to Kimberly Williams on Oct. 9, 1981 in Centreville.  She survives along with a daughter, Diana (Danny) Hiemstra of Sturgis; his father, John F. Hanfland of Marshall; two brothers, Doug (Carol) Hanfland of Florida and Dave (Penny) Hanfland of Fulton; a sister, Denise Parish of Grand Rapids; several aunts, uncles and cousins.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Colburn; sister, Deborah Jenuwine; brother in law, Patrick Parish; and grandparents, John & Evelyn Greider.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 pm Sunday, December 18, 2022 at the Eickhoff Funeral Home in Mendon.  Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Monday, December 19, 2022 at the funeral home followed by burial in Mendon Cemetery.  Memories and condolences may be shared at www.eickhofffuneralhome.com
