Donald David Crabtree, age 54 of Mendon, died Thursday Dec. 1, 2011 at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo. He was born in Three Rivers on May 10, 1957 the son of Joel and Margaret (Bubetz) Crabtree and was a lifetime resident of the Mendon area. He graduated from Mendon High School in 1975. After an accident left him paralyzed 32 years ago, Donald went back to school and received his Associates' Degree at Glenn Oaks Community College. He enjoyed working with his computer, and was a big wrestling fan.

Donald is survived by his parents, Joel and Margaret Crabtree of Mendon; 2 sisters, Deborah (Tim) Johnson of Centreville and Karen Peer of Plainfield, IN; his twin brother, Daniel J. (Paulyn) Crabtree of Houston, TX; several nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles; and a special friend, Laura.

Cremation has been conducted and the family will announce plans for a memorial service in the spring of 2012. Memorials may be directed to Three Rivers Health Home Care, 222 S.
