Dominick Franklin Butcher, age 39 of Mendon, passed away unexpectedly at his home on June 1, 2024.  He was born in Three Rivers, MI on September 11, 1984 the son of Ernie and Margie (Kott) Butcher.  Nick attended Mendon High School and was part of the 2003 graduating class.  During that time, he was dual-enrolled with Glen Oaks Community College and was part of their Building Trades program.  Nick was very proud of the work he had accomplished on local concession stands and homes around St. Joseph County.  As of late, Nick would often be seen with his dad, cruising around Mendon, helping the local residents with their scrap metal business.  In his free time, he would often go fishing and camping.  Nick enjoyed taking family trips up to Tahquamenon Falls in the Upper Peninsula in Michigan.   Most importantly, Nick loved spending time with his friends.

Nick is survived by his parents, Ernie and Margie Butcher.  In keeping with family wishes, cremation is being conducted.  A memorial for Nick will be scheduled at a later date.  It is suggested that any donations or contributions made in his name, be made to his family.  Condolences and memories may be expressed to his family at eickhofffuneralhome.com
