David Lee Truckey, age 77 of Mendon, died Thursday, Dec. 30, 2021 at his home.  He was born in Three Rivers on May 9, 1944 the son of Francis L. and Helen (McElvain) Truckey.  He attended Mendon High School, and was married to Janet Mazurek on Feb. 3, 1963.  He has resided in Mendon his entire life except for 18 months in California.  Dave established Truckey Concrete Construction, doing both commercial and residential concrete work.  In his spare time, he enjoyed woodworking, hunting, and fishing, trapping along the St. Joe River and boating on Lake Michigan.

Dave is survived by his wife, Janet; two sons, Stacy (Sue) Truckey and Rich (Julie) Truckey both of Mendon; two grandchildren, Theresa (Marty) Little and Allison Truckey of Mendon; three great-grandchildren, Madyson, Emma, and Hayden; several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Jack and Doug; sister Sandra Swartzentruber; and grandson, Nathan Truckey.

In keeping with his wishes. Cremation has been conducted and no services are planned at this time.  The family suggests that memorial donations be directed to either, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, or to The Alzheimer's Association.  The family wishes thank the Mendon Fire Department for their assistance.
