Darla Rae Sinclair, age 65 of Mendon went to be with the Lord on Thursday Oct. 11, 2012. She was born in Dowagiac, MI on Sep. 9, 1947 the daughter of Francis E. "Bob" and Helen E. (Imm) Diffendal. She attended Kalamazoo and Vicksburg schools, and later received her Associates Degree from Glen Oaks Community College. She has been a resident of Mendon since 1963. Darla was a member of the Chapman Memorial Church of the Nazarene, where she sang in the choir. She loved animals and was a supporter of P.E.T.A. and the Feed The Children programs.

Darla was married to Ricky Sinclair on June 14, 1975 in Cassopolis, MI. He survives along with four children, Karl (Danielle) Kotz of LaGrange, IN, Bethany (Wayne) Rhodes of Three Rivers, Susan (Stacey) Stockdale of Charleston, NC, and Ron Sinclair currently serving with the U.S. Navy; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and one on the way; three brothers, Michael (Linda) Diffendal of Shipshewana, Greg (Deb) Diffendal of Leonidas, and Rodney (Marlene) Diffendal of Colon; a sister, Kelly Sue (Todd) Huff of Three Rivers; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and by a brother, Jeffery Diffendal.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Eickhoff Funeral Home in Mendon. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday Oct. 16, 2012 at the funeral home with Rev. Dave Downs, Pastor of the Chapman Memorial Church of the Nazarene officiating. Burial will be in Mendon Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to a charity of one's choice.
