Carol J. Outman, age 91, passed away on April 2, 2025 at Thurston Woods Village in Sturgis, MI.  She was born in Elkhart County, IN on October 1, 1933 the daughter of Ira and Katie (Jones) Kauffman.  On June 1, 1952 Carol would marry Clyde Schrock and together had three children; Robin, Mark, and Anita; Clyde passed away in 1961.  On April 26, 1969 she would find love again and marry Wayne Outman and would have 44 wonderful years together until his passing in 2013.

Carol led a very busy life; she was a working mother and wife most of her life.  She also was very active in the Bible studies at Leonidas Church.  Carol planted and tended to her gardens and flower beds that everyone loved to see.  She enjoyed having her children and grandchildren at her house during the holidays, especially Christmas.  She also loved to travel out to Oregon to visit with her brothers.

Carol is survived by her three children; Mark (Carolyn) Schrock, Robin (Dan) Shoup, and Anita (Steven) Buscher; five grandchildren; Amanda (Jason) Schutz, John B. Shoup, Emily (Dave) Flowers, Sydney Herman, and Brittney Buscher; two great-grandchildren; Theodore English and Harrison English; three siblings; Robert Kauffman, Ira "Ike" Kauffman, and DeRoy Kauffman; and many extended families.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband; Clyde Schrock; her second husband; Wayne Outman; and her brother; Gordon Kauffman.

Visitation for Carol will take place on Monday, April 7, 2025 at the Eickhoff Funeral Home from 3pm until 4pm, with funeral services beginning at 4pm with Shon Deal officiating.  Following the service, burial will take place at Leonidas Cemetery.  It is suggested that donations made in Carol's name be made to Willowbrook Memory Care at Thurston Woods Village.  The family would also like to thank the staff for the wonderful care and generosity they have shown them and Carol.  Condolences and memories may be expressed to the family at eickhofffuneralhome.com
