Betty A Fries 81 of Mendon, Michigan died Friday June 7, 2013 at Heartland Health Care in Three Rivers following a short illness. She was born on July 23, 1931 in Schoolcraft, MI. the daughter of Millard Pierce and Alice Janice (Amos) Granger. She was a Mendon Resident since 1965 coming from Schoolcraft and Vicksburg. Owner and Operator of Auntie M's Restaurant in Mendon . Member of First United Methodist Church, Mendon Kiwanis Club Showboat and Mendon Riverfest. Past Mendon Village President. Avid CB Club Member known as "Granny". She enjoyed working in her yard and horses. Married to Ralph M. Fries on September 7, 1955 in Valparaiso, In. He died on May 7, 1992. She is survived by 3 Daughters- Sharon (Sid) Torres of Vicksburg, Nancy (John) Yurkovich of Mendon, Candy "Chris" (Mathew) Russell of Kalamazoo, 2 Sons- Preston (Barbara) Fries , Raymond (Diane) Fries all of Fort Wayne, In. 14 Grandchildren, 22 Great Grandchildren, Brother-Herbert Bruysten of Mendon. She was preceded in death by Her Parents, Husband, 2 Sons- Lewis and Gregory Fries, Several Brothers and Sisters. Visitation will be on Monday 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Eickhoff Funeral Home in Mendon where Service will be held 1:00 PM on Tuesday, June 11, 2013. Interment will take place in Mendon Cemetery.
