Barbara Jean Hoskins, age 86 of Three Rivers, died Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at Edgewood Manor following a brief illness.  She was born in Three Rivers in Aug. 19, 1934 the daughter of Clarence and Grace (Staples) McCale, and was a lifetime resident of St. Joseph County.  She graduated from Three Rivers High School with the class of 1953 and later attended Kalamazoo Valley Community College. She was married to Robert J. Hoskins on May 7, 1955 in Three Rivers. For many years Barbara was an accounting clerk for Allied Paper Company and later with Simpson Lee Paper Company in Vicksburg.

Barbara is survived by two daughters, Connie (Michael) Hyland of Countryside, Illinois and Karen (Timothy) Rector of Scotts, Michigan; six grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; many several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Philip Hoskins and John Hoskins; her husband, Bob Hoskins; grandson, Andrew Poulsen; and four sisters, Phyllis Morgan, Velda Stroup, Marian Medema, and Wilma Sample.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation has been conducted.  A graveside service will be 11am Friday, May 21, 2021 in Mendon Cemetery.  It is suggested that memorial donations be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Foundation at www.lls.org .  Arrangements are being handled by the Eickhoff Funeral Home of Mendon.
