Annette Lynn
Brown
Mar 16, 1941 — Dec 30, 2023
Annette Lynn Brown, age 82 of Three Rivers, passed away at her home on December 30, 2023. She was born on March 16, 1941 in Kalamazoo, the daughter of Cecil and Evelynn (Matthews) Sellers. She graduated from Galesburg-Augusta High School, and later obtained a degree from Tunxis Community College in Connecticut. On September 16, 1964 Annette would marry Ray S. Brown in Kalamazoo, and together they had 3 children; Ray would sadly pass away in 1981. In 1988, Annette would begin dating her companion to this day, Mike Carr. Annette was a gifted artist, loving music, art, and plays. She would often visit the art museums in Detroit and Chicago. Annette was a member of the Kalamazoo Recorder Players, sang in choirs in Battle Creek and Grand Rapids, all while teaching kids how to play the accordion. She loved music and was extremely talented in all aspects of the art. She loved to attend the local Opera in while she still lived in Connecticut. When she wasn't expressing herself musically, she loved to take trips to the lake, with her little boat and enjoy the outdoors and the peace it brought her.
Annette is survived by her spouse of 35 years, Mike Carr; three children, Cassandra (Robert) Harsha, Andrew (Jaquelin) Brown, and Holly (Clayton) Jones; 3 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; two siblings, Barb (Richard) Bennette and Dennis (Bonnie) Sellers; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Ray Brown; and a great-grandchild, Owen Harsha.
In keeping with family wishes, cremation is being conducted. A private family gathering will take place at a later date. It is suggested that memorial contributions be made to the Mendon Library. Condolences and memories may be expressed to the family at eickhofffuneralhome.com
