Alice Joan McClish, age 97 passed away on August 15, 2025 in Sturgis, MI.  She was born in Howe, IN on September 6, 1927, the daughter of Ervin Orr and Anabel (Housour) Lytle.  Joan went to Quail Trap School in her early years and graduated from Mendon High School in 1945.  She was married to Ralph C. McClish on June 28, 1947.  They were married almost 50 years; Ralph passed away October 29, 1996.  Joan had worked at Three Rivers Hospital for 8 years in the dietary department and Fairview Nursing Home for 4 years; and many years were devoted to caring for her home and family.  She was also on the Ladies Auxiliary of LaGrange Fire Department.  Joan enjoyed traveling, doing search words and reading.  She like the challenge of a hard puzzle to be put together.  Joan enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Joan is survived by her 3 children; Bill (Trudy) McClish, David (Lori) McClish, and Kathy Conover; 15 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended families.  She was preceded in passing by her husband Ralph McClish; her son Kenneth McClish; three great-grandchildren, Justin, Scotty, and Lincoln; her parents Ervin and Anabel Lytle; two brothers, Paul Lytle and Jum Lytle; and her sister Kathryn Straehley.

Visitation for Joan will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2025 from 12pm until 2pm with funeral services beginning at 2pm, all at the Eickhoff Funeral Home in Mendon, MI.  Following the service, burial will take place at Mendon Cemetery.  Condolences and memories may be expressed to her family at eickhofffuneralhome.com
